About Us

A consultancy that bought the fix.

Solesbee Solutions did not start as a software company. It started as a consulting firm that sat inside the work until the hole was obvious.

Sit with the people who run the work.

2016–2018, David Solesbee spent years inside small operators and multi-location groups. The same holes kept showing up: support lived in inboxes, customer information was typed off paper into three systems, and nobody had a single view of how the business was actually performing. Vendors sold tools. Almost nobody sat with the operator and closed the gap between how the work ran and what the tools assumed.

In 2018 he founded Solesbee Solutions as an independent consultancy: process mapping, systems selection, and implementation for companies too small for a big-four program and too stretched to hire a full IT PMO. Find the hole, fill it, leave the operator better than you found them. That work is still how the group enters new industries — see Consulting.

By 2019–2020 the same three holes showed up on almost every engagement. Consulting could patch each client once. It could not scale the fix. From 2021 on, the firm acquired or launched a company for each repeating hole — and stayed the parent.

Timeline

  1. 2018 David Solesbee founds Solesbee Solutions as a consulting firm.
  2. 2019–2020 Repeat engagements expose three gaps: support, document capture, and reporting.
  3. 2021 Acquires Northstar — the support hole.
  4. 2023 Acquires Data Snap — the document hole.
  5. 2025 Launches Solesbee Analytics — the visibility hole. Consulting continues as how the group still enters new industries.

The operating team

Alicia Ren at a capture review whiteboard

Alicia Ren

Chief Technology Officer

Owns the product stack across the three companies. Most weeks she is on a whiteboard walking a capture or queue design with the people who will use it.

Marcus Ellison reviewing a work order in a service bay

Marcus Ellison

Chief Operating Officer

Makes implementations survive the first quarter. He spends more time on parts counters than in board rooms.

Elena Voss in a support ticket huddle

Elena Voss

Chief Customer Officer

Holds the relationship after go-live. If a queue is slipping, she is in the huddle with the support lead — not waiting for a QBR.

James Whitfield presenting an analytics briefing

James Whitfield

Chief Financial Officer

Translates operating numbers into a briefing a dealer principal can use. He still sits in the room when the first close happens on Solesbee Analytics.

“They mapped the actual handoffs before anyone opened a product. That is why the install stuck.”

Nora Ellison · Harborline Powersports

“Marcus stayed on the floor until the third-shift lead could run it without us.”
